Worship: St. Andrew's Church, Tudhoe Grange is located close to Spennymoor town centre, part of which is in the parish. Services are in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England, although the congregation come from a variety of traditions and all are made to feel at home. The Eucharist is at the of our worshipping life both on Sundays and in the week and extra celebrations of the Eucharist are offered on feast days of the church's year. Morning or Evening Prayer is also offered in church daily (except Mondays) at which all are welcome to join the parish priest. The church, in the Durham Diocese is under the pastoral and sacramental care of the Bishop of Beverley (the Provincial Episcopal Visitor for the Northern Province), and is affiliated to 'Forward in Faith' and the Society.

Groups and Activities: We have activities for children during the main Sunday Sung Eucharist and monthly 'Messy Church' on the last Sunday of the month at 10.30am; a very active choir and musical tradition; a branch of the Mothers' Union which meets monthly, and interdenominational Women's Group which meets every other Wednesday. There are regular social and fundraising events in the large church hall, adjacent to the church.

St John's has been well know since medieval times as it can be seen for miles around situated over 600 feet up on top of the ridge south of Spennymoor.

In our services we mix the ancient with the modern and these vary from 8am Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer through to a 'Café' style Church on the 2nd Sunday each month.

Our family service, on the 1st Sunday of each month, is growing and we welcome everyone to come and get involved, and join in the fun! There are arts and crafts and activities throughout the service and these activities are also now being run every week

St Peter's Church has a small but growing and very friendly congregation and serves the villages of Byers Green, Newfield, Binchester as well as Todhills.  Our regular Sunday morning service is Common Worship Communion at 9.15 am at which we use both traditional and contemporary music.  Afterwards we serve refreshments at the back of church as a way of helping us to get to know one another better and to welcome newcomers and visitors.  We provide facilities for young children at the back of church and all children are most welcome.

Between Easter and Christmas we hold a monthly Meditation Service in Church on the last Wednesday of the month at 7 pm to which everyone is invited, even if you do not normally attend a church.  We also have special services during the year especially during Holy Week.  For more details of these please see the Services and Events page.

We hold regular social events in the Church Hall.  These include a weekly coffee morning on Wednesday mornings between 10 am and 12 noon.  We also have monthly social evenings on Tuesdays and these range from Quiz and Film Nights to pudding nights and talks given on interesting topics.  For more information of these please see the Services and Events page.

We are always delighted to meet newcomers and visitors and also we welcome those who would like to get married here (subject to the usual legal requirements) or bring children or themselves for baptism.
